Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Fazaia College of Education for Women, Lahore is dedicated to ensuring academic excellence, institutional effectiveness, and continuous improvement in all educational and administrative processes.

The cell functions under the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and aims to develop a culture of quality, accountability, and outcome-based education across all departments.

Objectives

To implement quality assurance mechanisms in accordance with HEC standards.
To evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of academic programs through self-assessment reports (SARs) and program reviews.
To promote a culture of continuous quality improvement through regular internal audits , feedback from students, faculty, and stakeholders.
To support departments in aligning their mission, objectives, and outcomes with institutional goals.
To facilitate training, workshops, and awareness sessions on quality assurance and academic auditing.

Functions

Monitoring and reviewing the academic quality and performance of departments.
Conducting periodic evaluations of programs to ensure alignment with NACTE, NCEAC and HEC quality standards.
Assisting in the preparation for accreditation visits and documentation.
Ensuring the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices.
Maintaining records and reports related to quality assurance activities.
